Environmental Geology and Survey (Unit 4 of Fundamentals of Environmental Science)

Environmental geology and Environmental survey - is a unit of B.Sc. II year Environmental Science. The course is compulsory course designed to give the fundamental knowledge to work on the field of Environmental Science. 

Course have two distinct topics: Environmental Geology and Environmental Survey.  The course is of 25 Lecture Hours. 

In Environmental Geology, we discuss about the concepts of geology and its application to address the issues related to environmental resources, natural hazards and associated concepts. 

In Environmental Survey, we discuss how principles of environmental survey can be used to map, assess and manage different natural resources and address issues of natural hazards. In the course, we discuss about the different types of map, their characteristics and contours. Furthermore, concepts of GIS and RS are discussed in the course.
